Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We live in a Victorian semi-detached house in a quiet street in Peckham Rye/Nunhead, South East London. Our adult son is currently living with us while flat hunting in the same area and our daughter lives a mile and a half away. The house is a typical Victorian building with two floors and a loft extension. The kitchen and bathroom have recently been refurbished and we have an induction hob and electric oven. There are two bedrooms on the first floor and a further bedroom with ensuite shower in the loft. We have an air-source heat pump for heating and hot water. We have a mature garden with patio.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our house is close to lovely Peckham Rye park and Nunhead Cemetery, which is a wild-wooded Victorian Cemetery and one of London's famous big five. Nunhead village is on our doorstep with little shops including a fabulous bakery, greengrocer, fish monger, butcher, coffee shops and bars. You can walk across the park to Lordship Lane, which has many resturants and boutiques and Rye Lane is ten minutes away with a wide variety of ethnic food shops, rooftop cocktail bars and night clubs at the Bussey Building and Peckham Levels. Our nearest train stations Nunhead and Peckham Rye have fast links to London Bridge, Blackfriars and Victoria and there are many buses going into central London and the City.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Central London and all its attractions are easily accessible from Peckham Rye and Nunhead. Locally, there are a huge number of cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants and attractions such as Dulwich Picture Gallery, South London Art Gallery, The Horniman Museum, Greenwich Park, Maritime Museum etc are close by.
Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We like to keep the house clean tidy and have a weekly cleaner who would be able to come during your stay. We are strictly vegetarian (no meat or fish) and would ask that you ensure that you clean cooking utensils very thoroughly if you do cook meat or fish. It is important to recycle correctly or the rubbish will not be taken away and we will leave instructions.
